The Inn is an Italian vintage 1912 home offering an expansive view of Black Mountain and the pastures and wetlands extending from Tomales Bay. The simple bohemian European style of the Inn offers three unique guestrooms with an inviting common parlor. There you might find a cozy fire, refreshments, stimulating conversation, games or a good book from our library. All of our rooms are graced with the works of local artists. Our atmosphere is comfortable and fits into the rustic West Marin surroundings. If you are looking for a perfect get away spot from city life and rush hour attitudes, the Abalone Inn provides a relaxing retreat. Our Rooms

The Romantic Attic Suite A spacious and comfortable "great room" with gabled-dormer ceilings. This room offers a haven of privacy with kitchenette and excellent views. King-sized and double beds, sleeps two to four. Private bath. One bed, $150 per night   Two beds, $200 per night

 

The Garden Room

Overlooking the garden, this south facing room features a queen-sized bed
and antique wicker furniture. Its French doors open into an airy solarium
with a private garden view shower. Private Bath. $130 per night.

The Mountain Room features a queen-sized bed with heirloom handmade quilt.
This sunny room has a sitting area overlooking Black Mountain and the Tomales wetlands and pastures.
Private bath on hallway just outside your door.
$110 per night.

Amenities

Make yourself at home in our parlor & refreshment bar, open until 10 PM.

To accommodate the various schedules & food sensitivities of our guests, we are now offering breakfast baskets, which include tasty muffins, fresh fruit, and either yogurt or organic eggs from our chickens. We know many folks like to travel with their own meals, so the baskets also include plates, silverware, and napkins, enabling you to do your own simple meal preparations here as well. There is a microwave in the parlor for warming muffins, etc., and each room also has a refrigerator. The area is self-catering.

Deepen your relaxation at the Abalone Inn. Out in the gardens you can unwind with a long soak in the hot tub under the open sky.     Or find a cozy hideaway in the garden patio.

A Walk Through the Garden

   We provide one of the best values in the Point Reyes area with our comfortable rooms in a restored Victorian farmhouse. The Abalone Inn is a casual 3-room bed & breakfast without television or room service. Our facility is of a European-style bed & breakfast inn with guests enjoying one another in the parlor, around the evening fire, and at breakfast time, and sharing stories about their adventures.
   Abalone Inn is a wonderful place to spend a relaxing, friendly time.
