Therefore GPS & map sites may not work effectively. These are the shortest possible directions so please print the directions below.  

From  San Francisco Airport:  

Drive north on 101 over the Golden Gate Bridge for 10 miles.

Just after Lucky Drive, Exit at the San Anselmo/Sir Francis Drake Blvd. 

Stay on Sir Francis Drake Blvd. for 20 miles, which becomes a country road after Fairfax.
      Turn right at the stop sign onto Highway One in Olema
      go 100 yards and turn left on Bear Valley Rd.
      at the next stop sign, Sir Francis Drake Blvd. resumes again
      Continue on straight
      The Abalone Inn is in one mile on the left, just after the village of Inverness Park.
 

From the Oakland Airport:
      Take Highway 880 North,
      Take Highway 980 North through Oakland,
      Taking Highway 580 toward the Richmond/San Rafael Bridge,
      Cross the bridge and Exit at the Sir Francis Drake Blvd.
      heading toward San Anselmo.

Stay on Sir Francis Drake Blvd. for 20 miles, which becomes a country road after Fairfax. 

Turn right at the stop sign onto Highway One in Olema
go 100 yards and turn left on Bear Valley Rd.
at the next stop sign, Sir Francis Drake Blvd. resumes again
Continue on straight 

 The Abalone Inn is in one mile on the left, just after the village of Inverness Park.
 

From San Jose:
      Take 280 North to 19th Avenue to cross the Golden Gate Bridge
      Just after Lucky Drive, Exit at the San Anselmo/Sir Francis Drake Blvd.
      Stay on Sir Francis Drake Blvd. for 20 miles, which becomes a country road after Fairfax.
      Turn right at the stop sign onto Highway One in Olema

      Continue on straight

From Vallejo/ Hwy 80 (South End of Wine Country)
        From Hwy 80 take Hwy 37 west toward San Rafael.
 After many miles you will cross the junction of Hwy 12/121 from the Napa/Sonoma area,
 continue straight on 37.
 After several more miles you will cross the Petaluma River, 

          Go past Harbor exit and  take the Atherton Ave. exit.
 At the stop sign go left. This rural residential road will cross over the 101 freeway in approx. 4 miles, then becoming San Marin Drive, another residential area.
 Many stop signs down, you will find Novato Blvd. The high school is on the righthand corner. 

Turn right onto Novato Blvd. heading further west.
 In 9 miles the road will end at Petaluma/Pt. Reyes Road.
 Go Left. In a few miles you will see a reservoir and eventually a stop sign.
 At the stop sign, GO right crossing the little bridge.
 The next stop will be in 3-4 miles at HWY ONE.
 GO LEFT and drop down into the town of POINT REYES STATION.
 Note... The HWY turns left at the gas station and right at the far end of town.
 Cross the bridge just outside of town and immediately turn right.
 This is Sir Francis Drake Blvd. going west. Go 1 mile and the road will curve to the right.
 The Abalone Inn is one more mile on the left, just after the village of Inverness Park.

From Hwy 101 North/Petaluma
      Exit at Washington Blvd. Go right WEST up to Petaluma Blvd.
 Turn Left & go thru downtown.
 Turn RIGHT at D Street. This residential street will head out into the country, 

a road later becoming Petaluma/Point Reyes Road.
 After about 20 miles you will come to a stop sign. GO RIGHT.
 This is a continuation of Petaluma/Pt. Reyes Rd. going further west.
 The next stop will be in 3-4 miles at HWY ONE.
 Go Left and drive down into the town of POINT REYES STATION.  Note... The HWY turns
 left at the gas station and right at the far end of town.
 Cross the bridge just outside of town and immediately turn right.
 This is Sir Francis Drake Blvd. going west. Go 1 mile and the road will curve to the right.
 The Abalone Inn is one more mile on the left, just after the village of Inverness Park.

From State Highway One northbound
    Abalone Inn is about 30 minutes north of Stinson Beach. Go straight through the stop sign in Olema and continue 1.8 miles.
Turn left just before crossing the bridge into the town of Point Reyes Station.
    Continue 2 miles on Sir Francis Drake Blvd.
Abalone Inn is just past the tiny village of Inverness Park, on the left.

From State Highway One coming from the South
Follow the highway into the town of POINT REYES STATION.
Note... The Hwy  turns left at the gas station & turns right at the end of town.
Cross the bridge just outside of town & immediately turn right. 

This is Sir Francis Drake Blvd. going west.
Abalone Inn is 2 miles on the left side, just beyond the tiny village of Inverness Park.
